HAROLD S. WALES
USPTA
Tennis Professional
A
veteran of the tennis circuit, Harold Wales has over 30 years of playing,
teaching and coaching experience. In 1996, Harold was certified as a
USPTA tennis professional. He coached the West Chester University’s
women’s tennis team for three fall seasons from 1997 to 1999.
Under Harold's guidance, their record went from 2 wins and 16 losses
to a school record of 11 wins and 4 losses in 1998. In 1999 the teams
record was 10 wins and 4 losses.
Harold has been
extremely active in administering tennis programs throughout Chester
County.
He has served as the Director of Tennis at the Brandywine YMCA and coaches
various USTA women’s and junior tennis teams. He currently provides
private lessons for any student level from beginner to college player
and serves as an associate pro at Tennis Addiction Tennis Club, Pennypacker
Country Club, and Radley Run Country Club.
Harold is also a
self-employed accounting, tax and financial consultant. In 1987 the
US Treasury gave him the right to practice before the Internal Revenue
Service as an Enrolled Agent. He is also an Accredited Tax Advisor.
For
ten years Harold was part of the Lionville Youth Organization (LYA)
where he coached his two daughters in basketball and softball, served
as a softball commissioner and served on the LYA board. He is a member
of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. He resides in Exton,
PA with his wife, Deborah Wales.
A 1969 graduate
of Catawba College (NC), Mr. Wales earned his MBA in financial management
from Pace University (NY) in 1978.
